In February the Beehives had Cupcake Wars! The challenge was to decorate cupcakes using our theme for the year, "Arise and Shine Forth." The girls had a great time and there was plenty of candy to make the evening sweet!

Christmas Party
In December we had a Sweet Swap and Singing Activity with the residents at Liberty Square.
Each girl brought a sweet treat which we shared with the residents and with each other as well as sang Christmas Songs and listened to the residents share their Christmas memories.
(I only have pictures of the gingerbread houses, and they're not that great. Corinne, I think you were taking pics that night. If you could post some more, that would be awesome!)
Beehives - Hair Styles
For our class activity in November, the Beehives went to Sister Egan's and she showed us different ways to style our hair. Sister Thurber also brought a homemade sugar hand scrub and hand cream to try out. Here is a group "before" shot, followed by each of the beautiful young women with their "after" hairstyles.
Ward Harvest Carnival
At the end of October we had our annual ward Harvest Carnival and Dinner. The Beehives were in charge of the Cupcake Walk and the Mia Maids/Laurels were in charge of the Fishing Pond. This is the only picture I have of that night!
Harvesting some Fun!
For our combined YW activity in October, we went to the Straw Maze in Rexburg. While one group made it out in around 30 minutes, I think it took the other group over an hour! We were a little late getting home that night - sorry parents! We enjoyed some donuts and cider after making our way through the maze.
Back to School!
We did not have weekly activities in August since it is reserved for family vacations, but we did "kidnap" the girls one Saturday morning for a Back-to-School waffle breakfast and devotional by Sister Bybee. Sister Bybee's talk and stories were great and each girl received 2 Back-to-School kits - one from her and one from the Young Women leaders.
Girls Camp - Round Up Our Beliefs
July 20-22 we went to an old ranch house in Island Park for Girls Camp. 11 of our 12 Young Women were able to attend!

The first thing we did was to give the place a good cleaning for our service project.

We had fireside devotionals.

We also waited, and waited, and waited for a sunrise testimony meeting.

We went on a field trip to the Lewis and Clark Caverns and Virginia City in Montana for our hike and some ice cream.

Of course, all the necessary camp songs were sung.
And the wildflowers were gorgeous!
